Carla Dunlap - Female Bodybuilder

Carla Dunlap is a professional female bodybuilder from the United States.

Carla was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 22, 1954. She started competing in sports with gymnastics at age 10. She later competed in swimming, both speed and synchronized. Carla attended the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts on a full scholarship, earning a degree in Advertising Design. She won the gold medal in synchronized swimming in the 1977 Junior National Team Championships, and a bronze medal at the inaugural National Sports Festival in 1978.

In 1979, Carla decided to enter the "Best in the World" bodybuilding contest at the suggestion of Steve Wennerstrom. She had never trained for bodybuilding, but still placed fifth among 45 entrants. She started training seriously for bodybuilding the following March, and was soon competing successfully in top level amateur contests. She won the NPC Nationals in 1981 and 1982. Her most successful year of competition was 1983 when she won three pro shows, including the Ms. Olympia contest (she had lost the Ms. Olympia to Rachel McLish by two points in 1982). In addition to her individual accomplishments, Carla won the World Professional Mixed Pairs title in 1984 and 1988 with Tony Pearson. Carla is the only female bodybuilder to have competed in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. In January, 1999, Carla was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame.

Away from the contest stage, Carla appeared in the bodybuilding documentaries Women Of Iron (1984, with fellow competitor Deborah Diana) and Pumping Iron II: The Women (1985). She was selected by ABC to represent women's bodybuilding in the women's Superstars competition in 1984, where she finished seventh in a field of eleven competitors. Carla was a regular on ESPN's BodyShaping series from 1990 to 1995. She has also appeared as a color commentator on bodybuilding and fitness telecasts for NBC, USA, and ESPN. Carla is married (Kaan), and currently runs a private personal training business called Flexfit.

Sharon Bruneau - Female Bodybuilder

Sharon Leigh Bruneau (born February 1, 1964) is a professional Canadian female bodybuilder and fitness competitor.

Sharon, a French-Canadian Métis, was born in the mining city of Timmins, Ontario. She began her career as a fashion model, at which she was successful until contracting a bad case of pneumonia, which caused her to lose a lot of weight.

Soon after her recovery she began training with weights to regain the weight she needed to get back to modeling. After achieving a somewhat toned build, she was rejected at model agencies for being oversized. She then decided to give up modeling and dedicate herself to bodybuilding.

Sharon became one of the most famous women in the sport, leading to frequent photo shoots and several covers for magazines like Muscle and Fitness and Flex.

Sharon retired from bodybuilding competition after the 1994 Ms. Olympia contest, switching to fitness competition. After placing 11th in the 1995 Fitness Olympia, she retired from competition completely.

Currently Bruneau is pursuing an acting career, though she still models for fitness pictorials occasionally. She has had roles in releases such as Tornado Run, Nemesis 2: Nebula, Nemesis III: Prey Harder, and R.S.V.P..

More recently she did some stuntwork in Smokin' Aces.

This is IFBB professional fitness and figure competitor Alexis Ellis.

Alexis was born in New York City and is of Dominican descent.
She started out in dance and ballet before she became involved in fitness competition.
When Alexis graduated from Columbia University (with a B.S. in Biological Science), she went to live in Southern California.
It was in California where Alexis started her fitness career, when she competed in the NPC Orange County Classic, and finished third.
She has since won two competitions in the tall class, which are the NPC Los Angeles Figure Competition of 2003 and the NPC Ironman Pro Invitational Figure Extravaganza of 2005.
Also in Cali, Alexis worked for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept as a Sheriff Deputy.

Tara Caballero - Fitness Models

Tara Caballero was always one of my favorite fitness models.
I remember from the old muscle and fitness mags and she's still around!
She's worked for Pump, MuscleMag International and Muscular Development. She also appeared in several bikini calendars, was Budweiser's spokesmodel, shot swimsuit videos, and did a commercial for Coors. Finally, Tara has also become a popular Internet model.
She's even released a CD, Tara Caballero: The Essence of Me.

She never had the cut up look of some fitness models, but she had a curvy full figured natural look.
And those dark eyes and hair......
