Fitness Instructor - Kiana Tom

Kiana Tom was born on March 14th, 1965 in Maui, Hawaii.
She is an American model, television show fitness trainer, actress and a former Los Angeles Raider cheerleader.
Kiana is part Chinese, Hawaiian and Irish. Her name means calm water in Hawaiian.
She stands 5'6" (170 centimeters) tall. She is also trained as a virtuoso piano player.

Since 1988, Kiana was one of the hosts of a fitness instruction television series called BodyShaping. Eventually, she went on to host her own show, Kiana's Flex Appeal which premiered in 1995.

Kiana has also previously co-hosted the X Games and hosted the Fitness America Pageant Series.

She co-starred in 1999's Universal Soldier: The Return. Her father is Layne Tom Jr., a Chinese-American actor who played Charlie Chan's son in 3 of the Charlie Chan movies, among other roles.

Kiana has created and promotes a line of fitness products including her book Kiana's Body Sculpting, the Kiana Fitness Wear clothing line, the Kiana Fitness Nutritional Line, and a series of exercise instructional videos officially titled Kiana Fitness Videos. She has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry.

Fitness Competitor - Susie Curry

Retired professional fitness competitor Susie Curry was born on November 22nd, 1972 in Santa Barbara, California.
Susan started competing in fitness contests in 1996, and turned professional in 1997.
She is one of the most successful competitors in the history of women's fitness, with four titles at both the Fitness International and the Fitness Olympia.
In 2004 she switched to figure competition, placing third in the Figure International.
Susan did not defend her Fitness Olympia title in 2004 because she and her husband Danny were expecting a child.
She competed at 5'2" and 115 pounds, and currently lives in Bremen, Georgia.

Female Bodybuilder - Kim Chizevsky



Kim Chizevsky is a professional female bodybuilder, fitness, and figure competitor from the United States.

Kim was born on April 23rd, 1968, in Mattoon, Illinois, and was she was raised in Decatur.
Kim was a multi-sport star in high school, participating in volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading, she ran the 100, 400, 800 relay, and mile relay, threw the shot and discus, and did the long jump.
She then attended Southern Illinois University, and there she studied to be a paralegal.
While in college, she joined the dance squad and participated in aerobics.
After a couple years of dance and aerobics, a friend convinced her to give bodybuilding a try.
Despite the fact that she had no training, diet, or preparation, she finished second in her first show, the 1989 NPC Tri-State, competing at 121 pounds.



In 1992, she won her Pro Card by winning the 1992 IFBB North American Championship, competing at 147 pounds.
She had moderate success in her first few years of pro competition, including winning the 1993 Ms. International, but the Ms. Olympia title eluded her.
Kim finally unseated six-time defending champion Lenda Murray in 1996, and started a four year reign of her own.
Over the years she continued to gradually add size to her 5'8" frame; at the 1997 Ms. Olympia, she competed at 157 pounds.
Kim decided to retire from bodybuilding after winning the 1999 Ms. Olympia; she began competing in fitness and figure competitions in 2001.

In 2000, Kim appeared in the 2000 psychological thriller, The Cell, which starred Jennifer Lopez as one of Carl Stargher's victims.

Kim is married to Chad Nicholls, a well-know bodybuilding nutritionist and training consultant. They live in Springfield, Missouri.

Fitness Competitor - Sharon Bruneau

Sharon Bruneau was born on February 1st, 1964 in Timmins, Ontario.
She is a professional Canadian female bodybuilder and fitness competitor.
Sharon, (who is a French-Canadian Métis) began her career as a fashion model, at which she was successful until she contracted a bad case of pneumonia, which caused her to lose a lot of weight.

Soon after her recovery Sharon began training with weights to regain the weight she needed to get back to modeling.
After achieving a pretty toned build, she started getting rejected at model agencies for being "over sized".
She then decided to give up on modeling and dedicate herself to bodybuilding.

Sharon became one of the most famous women in the sport, leading to frequent photo shoots and several covers for magazines like Muscle & Fitness and Flex.
She retired from bodybuilding competition after the 1994 Ms. Olympia contest, switching to fitness competition.
After placing 11th at the Fitness Olympia in 1995, she retired from competition completely.
Currently Sharon is pursuing an acting career, though she still models for fitness pictorials occasionally.
She has appeared as an actress in Tornado Run, Nemesis 2: Nebula, Nemesis III: Prey Harder, Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding, R.S.V.P. and Auctionlive: The Treasures of James Cagney.
Sharon has also done stunt work in Fast and Furious, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Smokin' Aces, Single White Female 2: The Psycho and R.S.V.P.

Debbie Dobbins (1964-1994) was a popular fitness competitor and fitness model during the early 1990s.

Debbie was born in Olongapo, Philippines, and was of half Irish and half Filipino descent.
When Debbie was three her family moved to Portland, Oregon, where she grew up in the northwest side.
She competed in a variety of sports in high school and college, including track and field and basketball.
Debbie graduated from college with a degree in Marketing and Advertising.
After college she began taking aerobic classes, and also took up running and weight training.
Later Debbie taught aerobics and cross training for seven years, and gradually made weight training a bigger part of her fitness regimen.

At the age of twenty four she moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in the fitness industry.
There she became an aerobics instructor and played volleyball for Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.
While establishing herself as a fitness model she worked full time for a leasing company, and did promotional work for Randy Pfund, coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Debbie also worked as a cheerleader for the Portland Blazers of the USFL and Los Angeles Raiders of the NFL.

Her fitness magazine cover appearances included Musclemag International, Muscular Development and Iron Man.
She was also featured in Iron Man's special swimsuit issue and modeled for Iron Man gym wear.
In 1993, Debbie placed third in the Ms. Fitness USA competition and tied for second at the Ms. Galaxy.
Her untimely death in late 1994 occurred as a result of smoke inhalation in a house fire.

Jelena Abbou ( Jelena Djordjevic) was born on April 2nd, 1977 in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia.
She is a figure competitor, fitness model and certified personal trainer, now living in the United States, having left Serbia when she was 20 years old.
The first contest she trained for was the 2001 NPC Women's Extravaganza, held about three miles from her home in Hackensack, New Jersey.
